Grading Tennessee Titans pick of Fernando Carmona at No. 142 in NFL Draft
The Tennessee Titans are back on the board in the 2026 NFL Draft, selecting Arkansas offensive lineman Fernando Carmona with the No. 142 overall pick on April 12.
Carmona played at tackle for his first three seasons in college (two seasons at San Jose State before transferring to Arkansas) before switching to guard last season.
The 6-foot-4, 315-pound lineman fits a major need for the Titans, who needed to add at interior offensive line.
Here's how the Tennessean grades the Titans' fifth-round pick:
Tennessee Titans No. 142 overall draft pick grade for Fernando Carmona
- The grade: B
- Why? Carmona's height and arm length indicates the likelihood that he will move inside in the NFL, and the Titans announced him as a guard. At this point in the draft, the pool is shallow even for the fifth round this year. Carmona's best season was in 2025, when he moved to guard at Arkansas. Tennessee had to pick an interior lineman sooner than later, so job done.
