Iowa Football Extends First Offer to 2028 EDGE Prospect from Kansas

As the summer approaches, Iowa's football program has made a significant move by offering a scholarship to LeRoi Kamtio, a promising 2028 EDGE prospect from Gardner Edgerton High School in Gardner, Kansas. Standing at 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 220 pounds, Kamtio showcased his skills during the previous season, where he recorded 53 tackles, including three for a loss, to go along with one sack and one quarterback pressure.

In an enthusiastic post on his X account, Kamtio expressed his excitement, stating, “Words cannot express my emotions right now!! After a great camp with (Iowa) and a convo with (Coach Kelvin Bell), I have received my first D1 offer to the University of Iowa! Huge thanks to the staff at Iowa for running a great camp and everyone who has supported me!”

Though Kamtio has not yet received a ranking, the scholarship from Iowa is likely to draw attention from other college programs and recruiting analysts. His performance in his sophomore year hints at a bright future in college football.
