The WNBA is celebrating its 30th season, and the league is going all out for what could be a historic year.

While the WNBA will revisit the past with special celebrations like Court Origins Nights, it will also embrace the future. On Friday, the league released new Rebel Edition uniforms for all 15 teams.

Designed by Nike, the uniforms "reflect each team's energy, spirit, values and local influences, bringing emotional connection, cultural authenticity and a peak expression of each team's identity to the court."

The Sun, playing their last season in Connecticut before moving to Houston, decided to honor their history in the area. Their new alternate uniform explores the "special connection between the Mohegan Tribe and the Connecticut Sun."

"The path of the sun is symbolic with its visual representation of colors, dots and rising/falling curves to show resilience of its people, and their journeys on the trail of life," the team said in a statement.

2. Portland Fire

The Fire, one of the WNBA's expansion teams alongside the Tempo, managed to outdo the veteran clubs. Portland using roses to signify beauty and resilience just hits the soul.

3. Dallas Wings

4. Minnesota Lynx

Minnesota modernized its uniform to further showcase the power and patience of a lynx. There's strength in numbers, and the team certainly has that with top-tier players.

5. Washington Mystics

The Mystics paid homage to the women who made a change in "The District." One of the more colorful uniforms in the new Nike set remembers trailblazers from the past, but it also pushes the game forward.
