WSU Enhances Class of 2027 with Two Defensive Additions

PULLMAN — Washington State University has strengthened its Class of 2027 by securing commitments from two talented defenders. On Wednesday, the Cougars welcomed linebacker Nate Obasanjo from Seattle and cornerback Noah Clark from Inglewood, California, marking the 11th and 12th recruits for the upcoming class.

Noah Clark, a three-star recruit, visited Pullman in late May and chose WSU over offers from several programs, including Utah and Boise State. During his junior year at Inglewood High School, Clark recorded an impressive 92 tackles, with one resulting in a loss, alongside one sack and three interceptions, which he returned for a total of 72 yards. His versatility is highlighted by his capability to play multiple positions, including nickel and safety. Clark has recently visited UNLV and has plans to check out Boise State next weekend.

On the other hand, Nate Obasanjo, who plays linebacker at Mount Rainier High School, stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 210 pounds. He also had offers from several institutions, including Utah and Colorado State. His commitment marks him as the second Washington native to join WSU's Class of 2027, following quarterback Ryan Harrington from Anacortes, who committed in late April.

Obasanjo made his visit to WSU last weekend, coinciding with a busy recruitment period for the Cougars, who are actively working to strengthen their presence in Washington. With the recent influx of commitments, head coach Kirby Moore and his staff are clearly focused on enhancing their recruiting efforts within the state.

The current roster for WSU's Class of 2027 now features: Nate Obasanjo (S/LB, Mount Rainier HS), Noah Clark (3-star CB, Inglewood HS), Tomas Dixon (WR, San Joaquin Memorial HS), Jettson Gillam (TE, Mountain View HS), Colton Richter (3-star DE, Shadow Ridge HS), Adrian Barnett (ATH, the King's Academy), Owen Yurosek (TE, Bakersfield HS), Ryan Harrington (3-star QB, Anacortes HS), Josiah Rand (3-star LB, Chaminade HS), Marquez Wimberly (3-star RB, Nazareth HS), Lopeti Malupo (3-star DL, Archbishop Riordan), and EJ Coleman (3-star ATH, Folsom HS).
